Brief Overview
Introduced and led mobile development at Foxconn, building manufacturing and client-facing apps alongside full-stack contributions.
Challenge & Scope
There was no mobile development capability when I joined. I proposed and built the first mobile assembly-line station app, replacing fixed-station hardware with a mobile solution.
My Role & Process
- Proposed and built the first mobile assembly-line station app with barcode-scan integration and real-time status updates, saving fixed-station hardware costs
- Built CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for multi-target deployments
- Piloted early SwiftUI adoption for internal tools
- Full-stack contributions across .NET Core, Web API, and Angular alongside iOS development
- End-to-end ownership from concept through CI/CD to delivery and monitoring
Outcome
Established mobile development as a capability within the organization, delivering cost savings through mobile-first manufacturing tools.
